Lost Spirit

Oh yes, it's very well
For you to say that now
My foolish friend
But at the time you didn't know
What you do now and it's too late
To make amends
To recollect and then decide?
It's easy from the other side
The fortune gained from looking back
Is only past misfortune lacked
A veil removed with damage done
Cannot hold up the setting sun
Of yesterday
The way ahead will soon become
Tomorrow's bit of damage done
And on the rack you only see in front;
The present clear
The cost so dear
But hindsight has no price
